Jessie Kerr Riddell was born on 3 March 1896 at 28 Woodside Walk in Hamilton to Francis and Jessie (Kerr) Riddell. She was their fourth child and her father drove a van for a bakery. When the 1901 census was enumerated the family still lived at 28 Woodside Walk. By 1911 they had moved to Gertrude Cottage on 7 Scott Street.
Jessie married William Murray Graham Frame on 6 August 1924 at her parents home, Gertrude Cottage, according to the forms of the Christian Brethren. Jessie was 28 years old, lived at home, and worked as an assistant to her father in the fruit and confection business. She and her husband had two known children.
Jessie's husband died in 1959. She died on 21 January 1984 at Auchlochan House in Lesmahagow of left ventricular failure, myocardial degeneration, and renal failure. She was 87 years old at the time of her death. Auchlochan is still a retirement village today.
