2.3.5.8. Annie Forsyth (1899-1987)

Annie Forsyth was born on 6 June 1899 at 35 Sunnybank Street in the Bridgeton district of Glasgow. She was the youngest known child of Robert and Elizabeth (Riddell) Forsyth. Her father was a carter.  Strangely, when the 1901 census was enumerated Annie was not living with her family. No Ann, Anna, Anne, or Annie Forsyth listed in the 1901 census was the Annie Forsyth for which we were searching.

In 1911 she lived with her family at 230 Holm Street in Glasgow. She married Thomas McInally on 27 April 1923 at her parents home on 47 Clarence Street according to the forms of the United Free Church of Scotland. She was 22 years old, lived with her parents and worked as a shirt machinist, or someone who operated a machine in a shirt factory. She and Thomas had one known son.

Annie (Forsyth) McInally died on 24 August 1987 at Johnstone Hospital, which was a nursing home, of acute myocardial infarction and cerebra-vascular disease. She was 88 years old.
