2.3.5.4. Josephine Livingston Anderson (1901-1972)

Josephine Livingston Anderson was born at 15 Corn Street in the Milton district of Glasgow to Daniel and Margaret (Livingston) Anderson. Her father was a blacksmith. When the 1911 census was enumerated the family lived at the same address and Josephine was attending school.

She married Robert Muir Thorrat on 24 September 1920 at 50 Wellington Street in Glasgow by declaration in the presence of two witnesses. She was 19 years old, lived with her parents at the Corn Street address, and did not work. Robert was also 19 years old, worked as an apprentice boilermaker, and lived at 116 North Frederick Street in Glasgow. I do not know if they had children.

Robert died on 10 October 1955 of natural causes either in the ambulance or at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow. Josephine was 54 years old at the time of his death and lived at 25 Preston Street in Glasgow.

She married William Forsyth, a widower, in 1963 in the Cathcart district of Glasgow. She died nine years later in 1972 in Glasgow. She was 71 years old at the time of her death.
