2.3.5.3. Agnes Forsyth (1887-1965)

Agnes Forsyth was born on 17 August 1884 at her parents home on 19 London Road in the Camlachie district of Glasgow. Her parents were Robert and Elizabeth (Riddell) Forsyth and her father was a carter. In 1891 the family lived on 165 Brook Street in Glasgow, and in 1901 they lived on 14 Margaret Street.

On 23 December 1910 Agnes married David Hunter at her parents home on 230 Holm Street according to the forms of the United Free Church. She was 23 years old, lived at home with her parents, and worked with two of her sisters polishing picture frames.

When the census was enumerated in April 1911 David and Agnes lived at 50 Cramond Street in the Govan ward of Glasgow. The couple had no children at that time, but did have at least one known daughter.

Agnes died on 16 April 1965 at the General Hospital in Cleland, Lanarkshire, of cerebral thrombosis and arterio-sclerosis. She was 77 years old and lived with her husband at 34 MacCallum Avenue in Rutherglen. Her daughter was the informant listed on her death registration.
