2.3.5.2.1. Robina Forsyth (1905-1987)

Robina Forsyth was born on 18 December 1905 at 222 Holm Street in the Blythswood district of Glasgow. Her mother was Martha Muir Forsyth; she was 20 years old and not married. No father is listed on the birth registration for Robina.

Her mother married in 1909 but Robina remained at the home of her grandparents, who listed her as their daughter when the 1911 census was enumerated. At that time Robina was attending school.

She married Neil Johnston on 29 November 1929 at the MacLeod Parish Church in Glagow according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. Robina was 23 years old, lived with her mother and step-father at 60 Couper Street, and worked as a hardware sales woman. Robina and Neil had at least one daughter.

Robina (Forsyth) Johnston died on 10 November 1987 at the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley, Renfrewshire, of acute myocardial infarction and a fractured femur. She was 81 years old and lived at One Millburn Drive in Renfrew.
