Arthur Walter Crowe was born about 1925 to Arthur Walter Crowe and Elizabeth (Byers) Crowe. His father was a Sergeant Major of the Seaforth Highlanders. I have been unable to find a birth registration for young Arthur. Perhaps he was born out of the country?
He married Agnes McCormack Riddell in 1948 in Rhu or Row, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. Two years later he died on 25 November 1950 at 91 North Hanover Street in Glasgow of acute barbiturate poisoning and respiratory failure. He was a steelworks laborer and lived at 132 Stockwell Street in Glasgow. An autopsy was performed, which confirmed the cause of death. His brother, from Pennsylvania, registered his death.
It is not known if Arthur and Agnes had children during their short marriage.
