He was enumerated with his family when the 1921 census was conducted. Roxburgh likely married Margaret Louise Thomas as they are the parents listed on the death certificate of son, Roxburgh Lyle Richmond. Margaret was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Nothing more is known about Margaret.
Roxburgh and Margaret Louise (Thomas) Richmond lived on 8558 Sterling Arm Drive in Port Alberni, British Columbia, at the time of their son's death in 1985.
