2.3.4.1.2. Jane Clark Douglas (1903-1936)

Jane Clark Douglas was born on 14 April 1903 at 31 Renfrew Lane in Glasgow, the home of her parents. She was the second child born to John and Agnes Riddell (McCormick) Douglas and was born four months after their marriage. Jane went by the nickname "Jean" her entire life. In 1911 she lived with her parents and siblings at One Rutherford Lane in Glasgow and attended school.

On 30 April 1928 Jane married John Duffy at St Aloysius Church in the Milton district of Glasgow according to the forms of the Roman Catholic faith. She lived with her parents and worked as a cotton weaver at the time of her marriage. She and John had at least one daughter named Catherine Douglas Duffy.

Jane died on 8 June 1936 at Ruchill Hospital of pulmonary tuberculosis. She was 36 years years old at the time of her death. Her widower lived 41 more years and never remarried.
