2.3.4.1.8. Margaret McCormick Douglas (1917-1972)

Margaret McCormick Douglas was born on 17 December 1917 at her parents' home on One Rutherford Lane. She was the eighth child of John and Agnes Riddell (McCormick) Douglas, although only two daughters were still living.

Margaret married John Pottie Baxter on 30 June 1939 at the Plantation (St. Andrew's) Church in the Tradeston district of Glasgow according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. Margaret was a 21-year-old laundry worker and lived at 3 Markinch Street, Glasgow. John was a 25-year-old railway carter, who lived at 16 Eaglesham Street, Glasgow. Neither had been married before.

She died in 1972 in the Park Circus area of Glasgow. It is not known if Margaret and John had children.
