Henrietta Cassels Lively and her husband, Alexander Paterson's, lives will be covered in a future post.

2.2.2.1.2. James Lively (1893-1894)

James Lively was the second child and oldest son of James and Elizabeth Muir (Brodie) Lively. He was born on 21 November 1893 at 5 Park Street, his parents' home in Blantyre. He died at the age of 3 months on 26 February 1894 of inflammation of the larynx and congestion of the lungs.

2.2.2.1.3. James Lively (1896-1971)

James Lively was the third child and oldest living son of James and Elizabeth Muir (Brodie) Lively. He was born on 12 August 1896 at 5 Park Street, Blantyre. When the 1901 census was enumerated, he and his brother, William, were living with their parents at 16 Park Street, which was in Dixon's Rows, miners' housing owned by William Dixon, Ltd. After his father died in 1906, he, his mother, and brother lived with James' aunt, Martha (Brodie) Moore. After his mother died in 1910 he and his brother, William, went to live with their maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, William and Mary (Campbell) Brodie. Some time after 1911 James, William, and brother John Sneddon Lively were sent to England to work. In April 1919 he received a little over 4 pounds from the British Army, which was a distribution of the effects of his brother, William, who was killed in action during World War I. James Lively died between October and December 1971 in Blackburn, England.

2.2.2.1.4. William Lively (1899-1918)

William Lively's life will be covered in a future post.

2.2.2.1.5. John Sneddon Lively (1902-1983)

John Sneddon Lively was the youngest known child of James and Elizabeth Muir (Brodie) Lively. He was born on 10 December 1902 at 5 Park Street, Blantyre. Unlike his brothers, James and William, he did not go to live with his maternal grandfather after the deaths of his parents. His whereabouts in 1911 are unknown. Some time after 1911 he and his brothers, James and William Lively, were sent to England to work. In April 1919 he received a little over 4 pounds from the British Army, which was a distribution of the effects of his brother, William, who was killed in action during World War I. John died between July and September 1983 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. I do not know if he married or had children.

2.2.2.1.6. Marion Sneddon Lively (1905-1982)

The life of Marion Sneddon Lively and her husband, David Gibson, will be covered in future posts.
