Verna (Muir) Burglechner Obituary

As published in the Parkersburg News and Sentinel on 20 April 2010:

Verna Muir Burglechner, 92, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away April 18, 2010, at Ravenswood Village Center, Ravenswood.

She was born July 3, 1917, in East St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of Robert Muir and Elizabeth (Fausz) Muir.

She was a homemaker, member of the Rebekah's, Eastern Star, Douglas Chapter 15, Ravenswood Women's Club, First Baptist Church in Ravenswood, where she was a former member of Circle 3.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Proctor of Ravenswood; granddaughter, Marcia Priven and her husband Paul, of Santa Monica, Calif.; nieces, Judy and Faye Fitzwater of Virginia; nephews, Cecil Hess of Virginia, Joe Shartiag and his wife, Lois, of Barrington, Ill., and Ted and Marvin Jennings of North Carolina; great-nephews, Christopher of Virginia and Mike of Barrington, Ill.; and great-niece, Robin of Barrington, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; mother, Elizabeth Muir; sisters, Margaret Hess, Henrietta Muir, and Alice Jennings; brother, Robert; and stepbrother, Henry.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Anthony Pratt and the Rev. Rob Ely officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
