Michael Joseph Shartiag was born on 14 November 1961 in California to Joseph Kenneth Shartiag and Lois Ann Siegel. He became engaged in 1990 to Robin Lynn Rapheali, daughter of Dr. Nachum and Sharon Rapheali. Robin graduated from Bryn Mawr College and received a law degree from Loyola University School of Law. She is an attorney for the Legal Research Division of the Cook County Circuit Court. The couple lived in Highland Park, Illinois, in 2002 and they have two children:- Zachary Shartiag

2.12.3.5.1.2. Beth Elena Shartiag (1965- )
Beth Elena Shartiag was born on 16 December 1965. She married Dr. Kenneth Lofland, who has a doctorate in clinical psychology and operates Northshore Integrative Healthcare. The couple lived in Chicago in 2002 and they have two children:- Logan Lofland
