2.3.7.8. Oswald Dykes Riddell (1904-1992)

Oswald Dykes Riddell was born on 6 April 1904 in the town of Clydebank in Old Kilpatrick parish to Thomas Riddell and Margaret (Brownlee) Riddell. He was his parents'  eighth child and named after his paternal uncle, Oswald Dykes Riddell (1859-1935). When the 1911 census was enumerated, the family lived on 27 Barnes Street in Clydebank and Oswald attended school.

On 26 December 1930 Oswald married Mary Hamilton at the Duntocher West Church Manse in the town of Dalmuir. He was 26 years old, lived at home with his parents on 10 First Terrace in Clydebank and worked as an iron driller. It is not known if the couple had children.

Oswald died in 1992 in Larbert, Stirling, Scotland. His wife died five years later.
