Jeanie Chambers Busby was born on 3 April 1913 at 48 William Street in the town of Duntocher in the parish of Old Kilpatrick. Her parents were George and Mary (McMurray) Busby) and her father was a machinist at the sewing machine factory.
Jeanie married James Riddell on 14 November 1930 at the Congregational Manse on Albert Road in Clydebank according to the forms of the Congregational Church. She was 17 years old, lived with her parents at the address of her birth, and worked as a machinist at the sewing machine factory. It is not known if the couple had children.
No information about Jeanie Chambers (Busby) Riddell's death has been discovered.
