2.3.2.5. John Turner (1889-1976)

John Turner was born on 9 June 1889 in village of Millhouse, Kilfinan, Argyll, Scotland, to John and Mary (Mitchell) Turner. His father was a night watchman at the Kames Gunpowder Factory at the time of his birth. John lived with his family the same village through at least 1911. At that time he was a laborer at a golf course.

On 15 March 1927 he married Henrietta Findlay at the United Free Church Manse in Auchenlochan, which was located in Kilfinan Parish. He was a gardener at the time of their marriage.

John and Henrietta may have had six children. John died in 1976 in South Cowal, Argyll.
