2.3.2.1.3. John Findlay (1915-1977)

John Findlay was born on 6 November 1915 at Burnside Cottages in Springwell, Blantyre Parish. He was Charles and Isabella Laird (Muir) Findlay's third child.

On 27 March 1936 he married Annie Dawson Fulston at the Manse in Blantyre according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. He was 20 years old and worked as a contractor's carter like his father. Annie was 17 and a domestic servant. Her father, George Fulston, was a coal miner and the family lived in Baird's Rows.

They had one known child, named for his paternal grandfather, Charles Findlay, in 1936 in Blantyre.

John died in 1977 at Blantyre.
