Sadie Viola (Cline) Muir Rose Campbell Obituary

As published in the Bristol Herald Courier during the week of 6-10 June 2000:

RAVEN, VA. -- Sadie Viola Rose Campbell of the Doran Bottom Section died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at home.

She was born in Caretta, W.Va., a daughter of the late Estill Johnson Cline and Maude Rasnake Cline, both Russell County, Va., natives. She had lived in the Raven area most of her life. She was a retired licensed practical nurse with the Clinch Valley Clinic in Richlands and a member of the Raven Assembly of God and the Rebekah Lodge. She was the widow of her first husband, Sam Rose, and her second husband, Marion Earl Campbell.

Surviving are two daughters, Faye West of Claypool Hill, Va., and Bonnie Ball of Emerald Isle, N.C.; two sons, Bobby Joe Muir of Raven and Bradley K. "Sonny" Muir of Raven; three sisters, Nell Osborne of Raven, Emily Mullins of High Point, N.C., and Lilly Keene of Richlands; two brothers, Estil Johnson and Jack Cline, both of Raven; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands. The Rev. Joe Copolo will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Betty Lou Muir; two sons, Billy Eugene Muir and Jerry Allen Muir; a brother; and two half-brothers. Among survivors are sons-in-law Roy West of Claypool Hill and Flem Ball of Emerald Isle, N.C.; and daughters-in-law, Nell Muir and Shirley Muir, both of Raven.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday in Hurst-Scott Funeral Home.
