Dana Jo Muir Sayers, RICHLANDS -- Ms. Dana Jo Muir Sayers, age 48, died suddenly Sunday, March 14, 2004, at her home. She was born in Raven, Va., and was a daughter of Bobby Joe and Nell Ball Muir of Raven. She was a life-long resident of the Raven and Richlands areas, was a 1974 graduate of Richlands High School, and was a licensed practical nurse for 29 years. Dana was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a healing touch and was loved by everyone who knew her.
Survivors in addition to her parents are: tow daughters, Mrs. Greta Sayers Hurst and husband, Jeff of Richlands and Miss Heather Nicole Sayers of Richlands; two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Lynn Fox and husband, Michael of Richlands and Ms. Tina Denise Stiltner of Doran, Va.; one brother, Mr. Robert Lee Muir and wife, Debbie of Doran; two beautiful and special granddaughters, Bailey Nicole Hurst and Addison Jill Hurst of Richlands; one niece; five nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Ms. Dana Jo Muir Sayers will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, with Rev. David Brannock officiating. Interment will be private with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands from 6 till 9 p.m. Tuesday.
