John Chalmers Forsyth was born in 1922 in the Hutchesontown district of Glasgow to William and Sarah (Chalmers) Forsyth. He was named for his maternal grandfather.
He married Phoebe Kinghorn Spence in 1950 in the Cathcart district of Glasgow.
In 1974 John was the informant for his father's death. His address at that time was 64 Wingate Drive, East Kilbride.
He died in 2001 in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire Scotland.
